CORUM has been honored with Robb Report Magazine’s 2011l Best of the Best award in the Women’s Watches category. In order to properly recognize this prestigious occasion, two VIP Dinners were held to celebrate the Golden Bridges collection, one in Houston and one in Palm Beach. Corum CEO, Antonio Calce, from La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, was proud to accept the award at both dinners.
The Houston event was held in conjunction with Zadok Jewelers at Masraff’s Restaurant, in the heart of the prestigious Galleria area, and the Palm Beach dinner was hosted by Mayor’s and took place at the Ritz Carlton’s contemporary American supper club, Angle. Guests were treated to a delicious array of courses paired with wines from vineyards that have also won Robb Report’s Best of the Best award.
On display was a stunning array of timepieces from the Corum Bridges Collection to launch the arrival of the Golden Bridge Automatic in the US, as well as highlighting the Golden Bridge Tourbillion and Miss Golden Bridge, amongst others. Also on display were some special pieces including the Admiral’s Cup 45 Minute Repeater Tourbillon and the Admiral’s Cup Seafender 47 Tourbillon GMT. Guests tried on pieces from the collection and received insight into the field of high horology from Antonio Calce.
Antonio Calce was presented with the award by Robb Report’s Publisher David Arnold, who said “In 2011 Robb Report recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of Corum for the development and evolution of the Corum Bridges Collection. A remarkable feat of design and engineering, representing the outstanding dedication of Corum to the field of fine watch making. Many congratulations on your Best of the Best award for 2011.”
Antonio Calce said “I received this award with a huge satisfaction. It is recognition of our know-how in the feminine universe of high horology, and a strong message for Corum, who forms its creations in a long term strategy. The legendary baguette movement of our Bridges collection exists for more than 30 years now and it is still today at the forefront of the watchmaking industry.”
