Her French-language picture “Farewell, My Queen” (“Les adieux à la Reine”) opened the Berlin Film Festival last night. The film is based on the story of Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution, from director Benoît Jacquot.
Diane stars as Antoinette, opposite Léa Seydoux as her lady-in-waiting.
During the first day of the festival Diane Kruger attended the press-conference and the photo call along with her co-stars to promote the film.
On both occasions, she looked stunning with a Reverso Dame Joaillerie watch perfectly accentuating her style.
Diane called the role “definitely one of the most challenging…Whenever you play a historical figure, a lot of people have opinions already, especially in the case of Marie Antoinette.”
The film is one of eighteen in competition for the festival's top honor, the Golden Bear. |
