Have a closer look as we unveil each day the in-depth technical construction and transformation of the C1 BlackSpider into a Brilliant timepiece.
23 FEB - MACHINING THE BRIDGES
On the bridges that are to be set with diamonds, the grooved motif of the BlackSpider is replaced by brilliant-cut diamonds.
24 FEB – MACHINING THE INNER BEZEL RING
The inner bezel ring is the most delicate part of the case. It serves to fix the movement to the case middle and also plays a considerable role in the movement aesthetic. The version presented is all more complex in that it has just been set with diamonds.
25 FEB – MACHINING THE BEZEL
Like the bridges, the bezel differs very little from the non-gemset version, except that the chamfers are replaced by diamonds.
27 FEB – SETTING THE BRIDGES
The gemsetter has now done his work. His skill and his know-how have gracefully adorned this part. The next steps will be finishing the coloring.
28 FEB – GEMSETTING THE BEZEL
This operation is classic, but the material used for the bezel requires all the skill of a good gemsetter. It is made of titanium, which is thus harder and less malleable than gold.
