The competition is fierce and independent watchmakers face more and more difficulties to find a way to get the components and movements they need for their developements. In such an environment CYRUS had to find a solution for the future.

Founder and CEO of CYRUS - Laurent Lecamp - explained that CYRUS is a majority shareholder in 2 Swiss suppliers since a few weeks. Everything has been kept secret till yet. Thanks to this, CYRUS is capable of producing more components internally and produces for other watch companies also. Around 50 persons work now for the company and this is only a first step.

Among all independent brands CYRUS will become one of the few that is capable of producing an increasing part of components the company needs for its development.

Some of the new models that will be introduced during the next BaselWorld (March, 8th to 15th) have been produced internally.

« We have no choice. Time has changed. Our goal is making CYRUS one of the TOP 5 independent brands in the world in the next 4 years. We will manage it thanks to our innovation (2 worldwide patents and one major innovation in 2011), our exclusivity, our unique design identity (registered designs) and the development of our own manufacture».
