DB 28 ST
A contemporary expression of traditional mechanical horology

The noble traditions of mechanical watchmaking are subtly celebrated and reinterpreted in a contemporary masterpiece imbued with a blend of ancestral know-how and the latest technical and scientific breakthroughs. The DB28 ST is nurtured by a horological culture and philosophy that its creators David Zanetta and Denis Flageollet share and perpetuate in a resolutely avant-garde manner at De Bethune.

The research conducted on the miniaturisation of the grand regulator timepieces that were admired and collected by one of the company founders and lovingly restored by the other, testifies to their desire to bring the horological quintessence of these historical works to the wrist.

Each aesthetic detail – from the choice of materials to the curves, the volumes, the shape of the hands, and of course the finishes – has its own specific reason for being. None are there by chance, and each contributes to a subtle equilibrium dedicated to purity, aesthetic restraint and readability.
The soft gleam of the platinum bezel effects the transition from the cool shade of the titanium case to the warmth of the sterling silver chapter ring.

The layered dial structure is built around suspension bridges featuring fine lines and multiple decorations serving to elevate the central mechanism as well as enhancing its functionality.
The silicon/titanium De Bethune tourbillon, the lightest and fastest on the market, combined with the jumping seconds mechanism, are proudly displayed at the heart of this model, endowing it with peerless technical and aesthetic splendour.

Excess is the avowed enemy of beauty, and De Bethune provides a resolutely 21st century expression of the grandeur of mechanical watchmaking through a determination to focus on excellence rather than excess.

Technical description
Functions : hours - minutes – central jumping seconds -Tourbillon with 30-second indication

Movement : Calibre DB2119 – mechanical hand-wound
Hand-decorated mainplate, hand-chamfered and polished steel parts

DB2119 incorporates the major De Bethune technological breakthroughs:

Self-regulating twin barrel* – The barrels are specifically designed to eliminate friction and efficiently transmit a maximum of energy.
Silicon/white gold balance wheel* with flat terminal curve – Its exceptional lightness enables this balance wheel to reduce mechanical friction and deliver an ideal inertia/mass ratio. The principle of the flat end curve, placed on the same level as the balance-spring, compensates for off-centering and facilitates its fastening.

DB27 Titan Hawk
On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the Manufacture De Bethune presents all devotees of Haute Horlogerie with the Titan Hawk, the first creation in its new DB27 collection.
This latest model, featuring finely crafted lines and elegance that may be admired from both sides, testifies to an ongoing aesthetic quest that David Zanetta, who designed this creation, defines as “dedicated to serving beauty through the readability and functionality of the object”.
In the village of L’Auberson, expert hands meticulously craft the grade 5 titanium, displaying perfect mastery of the delicate mirror-polishing technique gracing the case, the floating lugs and the domed back of the Titan Hawk.
The floating lugs are fitted with a patented system of springs that enables the watch to adjust to the wrist and to its wearer’s movements, in harmony with De Bethune’s consistent concern for comfort and for cutting-edge aesthetic appeal.
The silver-toned colour of the grained dial sparkles in the centre thanks to the microlight accompanying the central calendar read-off, surrounded by a chapter ring and minute circle featuring a rounded shape and raised numerals.
The cut-out hands including the atypically shape date pointer are in steel, hand-polished and flame-blued in the De Bethune workshops, where time-honoured know-how is combined with technical mastery and artistic genius.

The DB27 Titan Hawk is equipped with a mechanism boasting the kind of proven technical features dear to Denis Flageollet, who continues to broaden and perfect the technical knowledge of the Manufacture. The silicon and white gold annular balance wheel revealed through the case-back powers the latest self-winding in-house calibre – driving the central hour, minute and date functions – named S233 after the specific gravity of silicon.
This ideally modular movement incorporates the main De Bethune technological breakthroughs, making it the most complete calibre of its generation.

The power of this majestic bird of prey will firmly grasp the wrists of watchmaking enthusiasts, aesthetes and fervent devotees of fine mechanisms – all of whom will be able to appreciate on a daily basis the lightness, sturdiness, aesthetic finesse, comfort and reliability of this model epitomising the inimitable De Bethune expertise and technology.

DB25 s Jewellery
The classic DB25 collection, with its dreamy depiction of the star-studded sky, welcomes a delightful feminine touch in the shape of the dainty DB25 s jewellery model.
This creation is distinguished by the many ways in which the light plays across the materials and the complex dial architecture. The dark gleam of hand-polished and blued titanium, the sparkling twinkle of the white gold and diamond stars, and the muted glow of the curved blued steel hands… The depth of this star-studded sky is revealed through the alternating curves that are convex on the outside for the chapter ring, and concave in the centre. A spherical moon set with sapphires and diamonds shines at 12 o’clock, providing an exceptionally accurate moon-phase display that will diverge from astronomical reality by just one day in 122 years.

This exceptional creation may be made truly unique, such as by personalising the star-studded sky, on request, according to a specific geographical place and date.

The rounded case with the signature hollowed lugs of the DB25 collection has been narrowed to 40 mm to ensure a better fit on women’s wrists. Adorned with 61 baguette-cut sapphires, it radiates a resolutely modern feminine charm.

This Haute Joaillerie creation enjoys all the advantages of De Bethune technology, since it is powered by the hand-crafted DB2024 movement, of which the mirror-polished finish, the silicon/platinum annular balance, and the triple pare-chute shock-absorbing system may be admired through the back of the watch.

The noble horological traditions perpetuated in the De Bethune workshops in L’Auberson are embodied in this poetic timepiece with its avant-garde mechanism.
