BOEGLI, swiss made
Grand Opéra
After more than 10 years of making square musical watches, the time has come for us, the Boegli watch company of Geneva, to make a round case. With the Grand Opéra collection, we have created a more classical range which will please many lovers of complicated mechanical watches.
One of the highlights of the new collection is the complex dial which has three levels and is held in place by blued steel screws. A further highlight is the fine “Côtes de Genève” finishing of the musical movement plate. Through a window in this cleanly decorated plate, the beautiful mechanical musical movement with its 17 notes keyboard and polished drum is perfectly visible. The dial indicating the hours and minutes features a discreet yet legible date display at the six- o’clock position. The time dial is presented on a deeper level than the main dial, focusing the attention on the time display.
We have developed a new operating function, which, for the first time – like a ball pen – can be switched on and off by pressing the pusher.
Once started the mechanical musical movement plays “The Chime of Bells” from “The Magic Flute” (Die Zauberflöte , K. 620) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in crystal clear quality. If the pusher is pressed again, the musical movement stops.
If you turn the watch over, you will see under the sapphire glass on the case back the new movement module developed especially for this model with its “Côtes de Genève”decoration.
To complement the classic qualities of this collection, we have decided to equip this model with a genuine alligator leather strap with a butterfly folding buckle.
Last but not least, this is a limited edition of only 99 numbered collectors’ pieces.
This model is also available in all black, all stainless steel and bicolor. For more information, please visit us on www.boegliwatch.ch
