Only Watch has kicked off its World Tour 2013

The great Only Watch auction will be held on September 28th 2013. This charity auction on behalf of research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy will feature a one-of-a-kind model from Laurent Ferrier: a Tourbillon Double Spiral movement encased in a steel pebble framing a grand feu enamelled dial portraying a dove.

Meanwhile, this exceptional creation can be viewed as part of the grand World Tour that began on August 30th in Tokyo and will continue its journey through the world’s major capitals until the great day arrives at last.

Laurent Ferrier : Sylvère Demonsais, new CEO

Laurent Ferrier reaches a new stage in its ongoing growth pattern with the appointment of Sylvère Demonsais as CEO. He is succeeding Olivier Müller who enabled the company to become a well-respected member of the exclusive circle of Fine Watchmaking brands.

It is now time to consolidate existing strengths, and Sylvère Demonsais is definitely the man for the task, and one who is eager to take up future challenges thanks to its vision and his ability to implement wide-scale projects. The watch industry experience he has acquired over the past 20 years in various strategic and operational roles is an asset that will enable him to pursue the development and growth-oriented policies adopted since 2010. Sylvère Demonsais took up his new position on August 1st 2013.

Laurent Ferrier, the founding watchmaker and artistic director, remains the guarantor and custodian of the values on which the House has built its reputation. Its timepieces are developed, assembled and adjusted in the firm’s Geneva-based workshops in a completely independent manner, in keeping with classic yet mechanically innovative aesthetic values. An approach that has proven its worth and that Sylvère Demonsais will continue to cultivate with a blend of passionate enthusiasm and rigorous demands.
