Alfex 65 Years Anniversary Watch Limited Edition
the alfex brand was founded in 1948 in the heart of canton ticino, switzerland, so this year it is celebrating its 65th anniversary with a collection of watches available as a limited edition of 1000 timepieces.
the 65 years anniversary watch stands out for its exceptional formal equilibrium with the added dynamism offered by a stylistic twist.
its flat case is available in two different versions: choose from a 42 mm diameter round design or a 39x40 mm square shape, fastened to a steel mesh bracelet using an innovative “case/lugs” system where the lugs are welded to a metal ring/square link to form a single element under the bezel.
alfex developed this solution to give the watch an original, modern and elegant look that is recognisable at first glance.
the two styles are available in two versions: a black dial with a matching black steel mesh bracelet featuring a matt effect, or a gunmetal dial complemented by a steel mesh watch strap, creating an elegant interplay of minimalist colour effects in line with the characteristic style of the brand.
the celebration collection includes a total of 4 styles, with 250 timepieces available in each style.
this limited edition is part of a programme to relaunch the brand, ongoing since the beginning of 2013, with the short term goal of repositioning the brand in the swiss and international markets.
watches in the 65 years anniversary collection are fitted with a swiss made quartz movement and are water resistant to 3 atm.

Its in-house team of designers continues to strike this ideal balance, in line with the vision of Ferdinand Gindraux, the founder of the company. He set up the firm in 1948 with the idea of creating a brand that would revolutionise the traditional concept of timepieces. It was immediately clear that design was priority, a choice that has helped the brand from Ticino win many international awards on numerous occasions: the “Red Dot Award”, awarded by the Design Zentrum of Hamburg, which sees Alfex competing once again this year, and the “Good Design Award”, presented by the National Museum of Architecture and Design of Chicago to the product with the most innovative graphics and design. 2013 marked its 65th anniversary, and Alfex is celebrating with the vision of looking towards new perspectives, thanks to the work of Marcus Weber, who has been the company’s CEO since 2011, while respecting the traditions and innovation that have always been important for the brand.
