100'000 $ in auction for children

October 10th, Dubai Mall. The world’s most visited and largest shopping and entertainment destination hosted for the very first time the ‘Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience'. The watchwords were quite simple: philantropy, luxury and fashion. Sure that the goal was reached as the event rised a record auction of AED 430'000.00.- for the famous Quinting Dove of Geneva.

Promote primary education for children

Under Vogue Italia's tutelage, Quinting and the other 250 world famous luxury and fashion brands were all fighting for the same thing: raise money for Dubai Cares, a charity founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to promote the primary education of children in underprivileged communities globally. 400'000 visitors made the trip from all around the world to support the project.

Biggest names of the world's fashion industry

Quinting was really proud to share this common goal with some of the greatest brands around the world including their long standing partner Dior but also Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier,Armani, Valentino, Chanel, Givenchy and Dolce & Gabbana amongst others. Mohamed Alabar, Chairman of Emaar Properties and co-organiser of the event highlighted how privileged we all were "to have made a difference to the world, through the event’s support to Dubai Cares, which will bring smile, hope, and brighter futures for children through the power of education."

The Dove of Geneva - Peace Watchmaking

Quinting heartly decided to put in auction for the occasion its most symbolical timekeeper: The Dove of Geneva. A watch symbolizing that the only thing anyone should fight for is peace and that democracy’s job is to spread the message of peace around the world and unite peace states. Combining high quality workmanship and peacemaking initiative, Quinting always wanted to do its bit to promote peace around the world beginning with the man who wears Quinting for peace.

The Dove of Geneva - The Watch of Presidents

Clients of Quinting's Dove of Geneva are amongst others Bill Clinton, Kofi Annan, Vladimir Poutin, Sepp Blatter, and the Swiss Government. The watch is made of metalized sapphires with an anti-reflection treatment. The case and the transparent sapphire movement are engraved with an individual series number. Only one chronograph per country belonging to the United Nations has been created for this limited edition. On the side of each case is an engraving with the number of a country corresponding to the United Nations list.

The Dove of Geneva - Great Value

The Dove of Geneva was only launched with the aim of fighting for peace and values, without any marketing project behind. The watch was then sold for 20'000$. Our Presidents decided to proudly wear it, spreading Quinting's values all over the world. 3 days ago, the now well-known Dove of Presidents found favor for 100'000$; demonstrating if still necessary how valuable and trustworthy Quinting watches are.

About Quinting

The Quinting watches are the first 100% transparent watches around the world. They cannot be copied because of the complexity of the unique sapphire movement. The manufacture was founded in 2000. It was created in Geneva by five engineers– three watchmakers, one automotive engineer, and one electromechanical research engineer, Pascal Berclaz, current President of Quinting – decided to attempt to achieve the impossible: create a completely transparent chronograph. 7 years of research and 15 million dollars of investment were necessary to take on the challenge and a completely transparent chronograph with a sapphire movement, unique to the world, was created. This feat was immediately awarded by the prestigious “Prix Officiel de la Revue des Montres.” Quinting’s movement is composed of a superposition of sapphire discs, stationary and mobile, the distance between each sapphire measures 0,08 to 0,1 mm.
