Only Watch 2013

Monaco, September 28th. For its second participation in Only Watch, LAURENT FERRIER once again sparked collectors’ interest with the special edition of the GALET CLASSIC that went under Antiquorum’s hammer for 130,000 euros – meaning 30% over the initial estimate. This is a new vote of confidence for LAURENT FERRIER which is proud to be participating in this noble cause.

The auction raised a total of €5,066,000 which will serve to fund research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

0024 Watchworld Awards

On September 24 2013, LAURENT FERRIER picked up the 0024 Watchworld “Arts & Crafts” Award, a prize that particularly honours hand-craftmanship values, technical accomplishments and the care lavished on finishing.

Laurent Ferrier on tour in Asia

The Laurent Ferrier Asia tour features a cycle of events with Fine Watchmaking enthusiasts.

It kicked off in Bangkok on September 24th with a dinner hosting members of the “Thai Watch Lovers’ Club” organised by PMT THE HOUR GLASS @ SIAM PARAGON.

It continued on September 26th in Singapore with encounters during plenary sessions held in “The Hour Glass” pop-up store and moderated by Kevin Tan (PuristSPro). The goal was to bring together some key figures in the field of independent watchmaking (including Laurent Ferrier as well as Philippe Dufour, Vianney Halter, Roger Smith and Kari Voutilainen) in the Atrium of the PARAGON MALL for open discussions with the hundred or so guests.

The questions dealt with issues such as the motivations of independent watchmakers, their sources of inspiration and their technical choices.

From September 23rd to October 6th 2013, Laurent Ferrier was in the spotlight as part of an advertising campaign broadcast in the Hong Kong Airport Express trains between Central and AsiaWorld Expo stations as a means of announcing the event held on September 28th in the Masterpiece by King Fook boutique.

A VIP dinner at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental provided an opportunity to meet some keen watch aficionados.
