The INSPIRATION

An array of colors inspired by classical Russia

I recall hearing my Father speak fondly of his travels to Russia. He spoke of beautiful architecture, expansive forests and vibrant cities. On one trip I accompanied him to retrace the history of our Korloff diamondlegend. We spent an evening in St. Petersbourg where he took me to Catherine Palais (Catherine Palace). We walked her halls as he shared stories of the Korloff Sapojnikoff family as we admired the ornate decorations, and miraculous survival through world wars.

This city and particularly this palace became an inspiration to him from which the St. Petersbourg collection was born. Intricate use of gold, rich colors, and the palace's evolution through turmoil are represented in this collection hand crafted in gold, colored stones, and our exclusive use of the palmette system—which, becomes an architectural feet that represents the evolution of Catherine's history.

Technically, this is the first collection that we used lacquer combined with not only gold and diamonds but the integration of palmets. In fact, we are the first and only maison to use the palmet system in jewelry. By using the palmets our patrons can completely change the personality of the piece by replacing the existing palmet with a wide variety of colors and diamond settings.

In 1970 a young man, Daniel Paillasseur, enters the world of diamantaires and challenges the odds to establish a maison dedicated to crafting unconventional timepieces, high jewelry, accessories, and couture inspired by the spirit of travel. What began as a vision today is the house of Korloff PARIS. In more than 40 years we have remained independently owned and family managed, designing our own destiny. Our collections are discovered at Korloff PARIS boutiques in some of the most exclusive locations around the world including Paris, Rodeo Drive, Tokyo, and Dubai.

Our collections consist of limited production, limited edition, and one of a kind creations hand crafted at our ateliers in Paris and Lyon with timepieces crafted in Switzerland, and diamonds in Antwerp. The promise that Daniel began with long ago continues as our mission today: Original. Our compositions have their own identity. Innovative. We create pieces that are unique aesthetically and in engineering. Inspirational. Each creation shares a story that inspires us and aligns with our own passion for travel and challenging convention.
