FABERGÉ EASTER AT HARRODS
Harrods, the world’s most famous department store, and the iconic artist jeweller Fabergé, come
together for a creative collaboration this Easter. “Fabergé Easter” will see an exquisite Fabergé salon and exhibition space set up in Harrods, with the famed Brompton Road windows and façade dressed in Fabergé flags, telling the story of the legendary jewellery house. “A Fabergé Easter at Harrods” will run from 1st to 21st April 2014.
AN EXQUISITE PAST – AN INSPIRED FUTURE
The collaboration will celebrate the art of gifting, which is at the heart of both prestigious names. The window displays will showcase the fascinating world of Fabergé from its famed Imperial Easter Eggs and glittering Royal clientele, to today’s contemporary jewellery creations. From its inception, the pioneering jewellery house created pieces that delighted some of the world’s most refined clientele, such as the Russian Imperial Court. Fabergé soon became the jeweller du jour for the international nobility and aristocracy of the time, and the gift of choice for special family occasions and official royal visits. The windows will trace the story of these memorable gifts and their illustrious recipients. Harrods is celebrated as the ultimate destination for gift buyers, and so the art of gifting continues today with the “Fabergé Easter” collaboration.
HISTORIC FABERGÉ EXHIBITION
Fabergé and Harrods continue to make history this Easter by exhibiting a rare masterpiece, an original Fabergé Egg – The Apple Blossom Egg, together with other historic Fabergé treasures. This Egg was designed in 1901 and is beautifully crafted in gold, diamonds and nephrite. This is the very first time these rare masterpieces will be exhibited in the UK and in a non–museum environment.
FABERGÉ SALON
A luxurious Fabergé salon will house the jewellery collection of one-of-a-kind, collectible pieces designed for Fabergé by Parisian artist jeweller Frédéric Zaavy. The much coveted collection will be showcased in its entirety for the first time since its creation, as a tribute to the late Frédéric Zaavy.
A Fabergé “Egg Bar” will offer customers an opportunity to discover the iconic egg pendants, while a bespoke in-store engraving service will allow clients to personalise precious gold egg pendants with a special message of their choice. A digital space will surprise and delight visitors.
HARRODS EXCLUSIVE
To celebrate the extravaganza, Fabergé has created a limited-edition Spiral Tassel Pendant, available exclusively at Harrods from 1st April 2014. The modern, playful, diamond-set egg comes with a stunning gemstone tassel, finished with amethyst, tsavorite, or spinel.

THE FABERGÉ BIG EGG HUNT IN NEW YORK
Fabergé, the world’s most iconic artist jeweller, is proud to announce The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt , a creative charity initiative which will take place in New York from 1st to 26th April 2014 in collaboration with leading artists and designers, to raise funds for Elephant Family, founded by Mark Shand and Studio in a School, founded by Agnes Gund.
The initiative will see up to 300 giant egg sculptures, each designed by globally renowned artists, designers, architects and brands including: Tracey Emin, Mark Quinn, Zaha Hadid, Ronnie Wood, Peter Beard, Diane Von Furstenberg, Marchesa, Olivier Theyskens, and Bruce Weber, placed throughout the five boroughs of New York City during the Easter period. The Fabergé Madison Avenue boutique will house one of the exceptional designs. New Yorkers and visitors will be encouraged to participate in The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt and find all of
the giant eggs, with the help of a magical fairy tale. Participants who enter the hunt will have the opportunity to win one of three Fabergé prizes, with a combined retail price exceeding USD 125,000.
The unique prizes are specially designed jewellery egg pendants in gold and diamonds set with either exquisite Zambian emeralds, Mozambican rubies or Zambian amethysts. The coloured gemstones for the prizes are kindly donated by Gemfields, the world's leading producer of ethically-sourced, rare coloured gemstones.
The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt will culminate in a grand auction held by Sotheby’s where the giant egg sculptures will be sold. All proceeds will go to the two charities Elephant Family and Studio in a School.
As a passionate advocate of the arts and creative talent, Fabergé views The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt as a perfect medium with which to celebrate artistry and creativity, whilst supporting two deserving charities– raising much needed funds towards arts education for children in New York as well as for some of the world’s most endangered animals. The New York-based initiative follows the success of The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt in London in 2012, which set two Guinness World Records and ultimately raised over $1.5 million for charity.
Katharina Flohr, Fabergé’s Creative and Managing Director, comments: “We are delighted to bring The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt to New York. Philanthropy is at the heart of the ethos of Fabergé, and so is our aim to nurture creative talent and support innovative projects.”
Mark Shand, conservationist and founder of Elephant Family, the charity behind The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt, comments: “The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt is a wonderful example of how people all over the world can come together to make a difference. After the success of the London event, I couldn’t be happier to bring this to New York with an exciting roster of exceptional talent, and to raise awareness and funds for these important organisations.”
Agnes Gund, philanthropist and President Emerita of the Museum of Modern Art, Chair of MoMA PS1 and founder of Studio in a School, comments: “I've always believed that art should be accessible to as many as possible. The idea of combining The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt with my favourite arts education organisation, Studio in a School, makes it all the more exciting.”
FABERGÉ CHARMS COLLECTION
Fabergé, the world’s most iconic artist jeweller, introduces the Fabergé Charms collection, a series of precious egg-shaped charms, to be collected on a chain bracelet for a contemporary day to evening style.
It is a long-standing tradition in Russia to gift bejewelled egg pendants for special occasions, as cherished tokens of love and friendship. Fabergé, the jeweller du jour for the international nobility and aristocracy in Imperial Russia, was the gift of choice during family gatherings and official royal visits. Fabergé gifts created a special bond between the gift-giver and the receiver; and the precious egg charms were collected and layered on necklaces and bracelets.
Today, Fabergé charms showcase a modern, playful take on this tradition. Miniature versions of the most popular, much-loved Fabergé egg pendants, the charms are available in the Treillage, Spiral, Cadeau and Emotion collections, as well as a diamond-set gold egg which can be engraved with a personal message or initials, for a bespoke gift.
This series of covetable miniature egg charms shows unrivalled craftsmanship through a contemporary interpretation of traditional techniques and iconic motifs. Stylish and versatile, the intricate charms are delicately punctuated with diamonds and gemstones in captivating colours.
True to its original spirit of artistry and innovation, Fabergé continues to create the treasures of
tomorrow, precious hand-crafted jewels set with exceptional gemstones to pass from generation to generation.
FABERGÉ ROCOCO COLLECTION
Fabergé, the world’s most iconic artist jeweller, introduces the Fabergé Rococo collection, a modern take on rococo style, reinterpreting the iconic scroll motif through a sumptuous collection that celebrates Fabergé’s illustrious heritage, technical virtuosity and artistry.
The collection takes inspiration from the gold scrolls featured on the legendary Rocaille Egg, an original Fabergé Easter Egg created in 1902 for Russian heiress Varvara Kelkh, which recalls 18th century Louis XVI style and the rococo artistic movement. Additionally, scrolls were a prominent feature on historic jewellery and decorative Fabergé pieces such as cigarette cases, fans and picture frames.
The Fabergé Rococo jewels form sensual arabesques of precious gems in an ode to colour, the swirls interspersed in a kaleidoscope of colours, through mosaic pavé setting combined with significant centre stones.
Exuberant jewellery designs range from cocktail rings and bracelets to necklaces and drop earrings, all set with exquisite, rare centre stones. These opulent coloured gemstone suites feature perfectly matched, large dusky pink and purple spinels, vivid emeralds, luminous amethysts and radiant aquamarines.
Fine jewellery creations include openwork rings, wide cuffs and pendants, pavé-set with vibrant multicoloured gems or white diamonds. The Fabergé Rococo collection is also available in a feminine rose gold version, for a contemporary yet distinctively Fabergé look.
