A number of press representatives, partners and friends of the brand took part in the “Metropolitan Evening”, an exclusive event featuring music, street art and street food
March 20th 2015. The “Metropolitan Evening” organised by Wenger at Baselworld 2015 was a resounding success.
An urban atmosphere and cosmopolitan mood were the key ingredients of the evening that saw the Wenger stand – now located in a new position right in the centre of Hall 1.2 – transformed for the occasion to evoke the hustle and bustle of a street corner in an international metropolis, complete with the beat, the colours, the sounds, and the aromas.
Welcoming guests to a setting packed with energy and emblematic metropolitan-style details were Arianna Pozza, General Director of Wenger Watches, and Alexander Bennouna, CEO of the Victorinox and Wenger Watch Division.
The event in the event that certainly lived up to expectations was the eclectic performance by street artist Soy. Armed with colours and spray cans, he applied his very personal technique to producing live a graffiti depicting an “Urban Metropolitan” watch.
In front of a large branding board, the friendly fashion models featured in the Wenger advertising campaign agreed to pose with visitors for a fun-filled photo call. Later a printed photo was given to the guests as a souvenir of the event.
Against the funky notes of a DJ set, the event offered Wenger the opportunity to give a foretaste of the new direction being taken.
In perfect urban style, street food was served during the evening, conjuring up a stroll through an international metropolis, stopping to sample typical stall snacks like mini hot dogs, mini burgers, maki rolls and mini bagels, served with delicious cocktails and excellent wines. |
