According to a survey conducted 14-18 Sept, 2013 among 1,120 members (mosty top management) of CPP-LUXURY.COM has compiled information on the perception of the most solid and recession proof luxury brands in each luxury sectors. Our main criteria has been:

- continued, feasible retail expansion
- product development not affected by trends or performance in a particular market (i.e. China)
- mastering of new marketing tools (especially social media) – blending with traditional advertising
- no compromise on quality (craftsmanship, raw materials)
- stable performance globally
- a well balanced split of product offering between accessories and ready to wear

WATCHES
Rolex – most recognizable watch design; biggest advertising budget among all luxury watch brands; marketing social and performance related – a true luxury lifestyle brand
Audemars Piguet – timeless elegance, conservative product development; increasingly social media oriented
Patek Philippe – outstanding quality, performance and craftsmanship – regarded also as an investment
Omega – cutting edge marketing, created lifestyle subliminal campaigns; dynamic product development; expansion of mono-brand

JEWELLERY
Van Cleef Arpels – increasingly consistent in product development targetting a wider target audience; focus on directly operated mono-brand stores
De Beers – unique diamond pieces of the finest quality; most dynamic expansion of mono-brand stores

Hermes – timeles design and quality of its products, with a focus on craftsmanship; most innovative ad campaigns

Azzedine Alaia – unique couture creations without rules; borderless imagination and innovation; among the top 5 most sought after luxury fashion & accessories brands worldwide; unconventional communication (showing outside regular calendar etc)
Ermenegildo Zegna – one of the most solid and expansive retail network globally (mono-brand stores); ultimate quality of products; daring new digital campaigns and collaborations with contemporary artists.
